About MCS Transport

MCS Transport Services was established in 1990 to provide a secure and cost effective mail service to the medical and healthcare professions. Due to the company’s commitment to providing a reliable and secure mail service, we now offer and provide a wide variety of services to suit all of their customers transport needs. Our customers now include over 40 NHS Trusts throughout the north west, in addition to several local authorities, laboratories, medical supply companies and solicitors.

Quality Control

In conjunction with an established Quality Consultant, MCS have now implemented the BS EN ISO 9001 quality system.

Stephen Cornwell is the company’s quality co-ordinator. All procedures of the quality system are discussed at a monthly management meeting between the directors and development managers.

Every six months a major review of the quality system takes place overseen by a BSI qualified lead auditor (Will Lloyd).

MCS were awarded their certificate of registration on 8th December 1997, by Isoqar Ltd.

The scope of the registration is; “The provision of mail and pathological specimen courier services to the medical profession.The transfer of clinical (healthcare) waste.”

Depending on your location, we are able to offer a trail period of the MCS Mail Line Service. This enables prospective customers to try our service for one week without obligation.

Clinical / Health Care Waste

MCS is a licensed carrier of waste. The registration number for MCS is NSO/542248. A copy of the certificate is available on request.
